Yeshiva College offers a distinctive dual educational program combining liberal arts and sciences with intensive study of Torah and Jewish heritage, embodying the Torah Umadda philosophy. Students pursue majors in fields including biochemistry, computer science, economics, English, mathematics, physics, and psychology, alongside minors in areas such as architecture, business, and public health. The college provides combined and joint programs in business administration, dentistry, engineering, law, and social work. All students undertake mandatory Jewish studies requiring analysis of classic texts in Hebrew and Aramaic, with options including the Yeshiva Program/Mazer School of Talmudic Studies and Isaac Breuer College of Hebraic Studies.
The campus is centered on Amsterdam Avenue and West 185th Street in Washington Heights. Approximately 90% of undergraduates live on campus in residence halls including Morgenstern, Muss, and Rubin Halls, with upperclassmen also housed in surrounding university-run or independent housing. The college enrolls approximately 1,100 students from roughly two dozen countries, including students registered at Syms School of Business. Students can participate in the S. Daniel Abraham Israel Program to spend a year studying at one of 51 Israeli institutions. The Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Honors program emphasizes writing, critical analysis, cultural enrichment, and individual mentoring.
