Wor-Wic offers credit programs leading to certificates and associate degrees, as well as non-credit continuing education courses. The college is accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. Nursing programs are approved by the Maryland Board of Nursing, and the radiologic technology program holds national accreditation from the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology. Seven learning pathways organize offerings: Business & Hospitality, Education & Human Services, Health Care, Humanities & Social Sciences, Public Safety, STEM, and Skilled Trades & Transportation. Approximately 48% of credit students are enrolled in transfer programs designed for four-year universities.
The college occupies a 200-acre suburban campus in Salisbury. In 2023, Wor-Wic opened the Patricia and Alan Guerrieri Technology Center, featuring welding, HVACR, metal fabrication, plumbing labs, CDL simulation, and hands-on instruction for electro-mechanical, construction, electrical, and alternative energy programs. The college also owns Ocean Resorts Golf Club, used for Turf Management and Hospitality courses. Wor-Wic leases or owns additional facilities providing office, classroom, and laboratory space across the region.
The college accepts applications for both credit and non-credit programs. Credit program applicants select a learning pathway during application; an enrollment coach then helps determine the best program fit. Non-credit courses are available for career preparation, skills upgrading, and personal enrichment. The college offers dual enrollment for high school students, distance learning options, and credit for prior learning. Approximately 7,600 students take classes annually.
As of Fall 2023, tuition is $129 per credit hour for in-county residents, $258 for other Maryland residents, and $323 for out-of-state students. The college distributed $8.9 million in financial aid through 4,150 awards in the most recent year. Wor-Wic is ranked in the top 15% nationally by WalletHub based on cost, educational outcomes, and career outcomes. One out of every 54 jobs on the Lower Shore exists because of Wor-Wic and its students.
