WWCC offers 45 associate degree programs and numerous certificate options across diverse fields. The college is particularly recognized for its enological and viticulture program, introduced in the late 1990s, which became instrumental in developing Walla Walla's wine industry. Beyond traditional academics, WWCC has developed specialized non-traditional programs including Commercial Truck Driver, John Deere Technology, and Water Technologies and Management programs to serve regional workforce needs. The college recently expanded the Southeast Area Tech Skills Center with multimillion-dollar construction to accommodate new collaborative programs with area high schools.
The college operates three campuses across southeastern Washington, with the main campus located east of Walla Walla near the airport. A branch campus serves Clarkston, 100 miles to the east, and the college maintains a facility at the Washington State Penitentiary. WWCC fields 11 athletic teams (the Warriors) competing in the Northwest Intercollegiate Athletic Association (NWAC), with sports including soccer, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, golf, and rodeo. The Dietrich Center, known locally as 'The Dome,' serves as a primary athletic venue.
Walla Walla Community College is accredited by the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU). The institution received the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence in 2013, recognizing its commitment to student success and community impact.
