Victory University offered a range of degree programs including Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science, Master's degrees (MBA, Master's in Professional Counseling), and doctoral degrees (DBA). The institution also provided an Associate of Science in Christian Ministry and certificate programs in teacher education, biblical studies, and urban youth ministries. A dual-enrollment "Bridge to College" program served high school students seeking early college credit.
The university occupied a 25-acre urban campus in Memphis. Student life centered on the Bryce Student Center, which hosted seminars on career planning, family life, and Christian missions. Housing was available at the Flats at Cotton Council dormitory (four miles from main campus), with capacity for 120 students; upper levels were reserved for athletes.
Victory University athletic teams were called the Eagles at closure. The university competed in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) and United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) from 2010–11 to 2013–14. Ten varsity sports were offered: men's baseball, basketball, bowling, cross country, and track & field; women's bowling, cross country, track & field, and volleyball; plus co-ed spirit squad.
Originally founded as Mid-South Bible Center in 1944, the institution evolved through several name changes (Mid-South Bible College, Crichton College) before becoming Victory University in 2010. Financial difficulties led to the abrupt announcement in March 2014 that spring 2014 would be the final semester. The university closed in May 2014 under ownership of California-based Significant Education.
