UVEI offers teacher certification, principal certification, and Master of Education degrees in teaching, school leadership, teacher leadership, and literacy. The institute's approach prioritizes experiential learning in actual schools and classrooms over traditional classroom instruction. Programs typically last one year and combine hands-on internship experience with seminars, mentorship from experienced faculty, and competency-based assessments. The Graduate School of Education merged into UVEI in 2021, expanding the institute's master's degree offerings.
