The United Talmudical Seminary emphasizes intensive study of the Talmud and Halakha (Jewish law) to prepare students for religious vocations. The seminary serves exclusively male students from the Satmar Hasidic community. In the 2004–2005 academic year, the institution enrolled 1,125 students across all degree levels, with 869 undergraduates reported in 2006–2007. The seminary maintains locations in both Brooklyn and Queens, New York. A separate girls division, Bais Rochel, operates as part of the institution.
