Touro University Nevada operates two colleges: the College of Osteopathic Medicine and the College of Health and Human Services. The university offers graduate and postgraduate programs in osteopathic medicine (DO), medical health sciences (MS-MHS), nursing (RN-BSN, MSN-FNP, DNP), physical therapy (DPT), occupational therapy (OTD), physician assistant studies (MPAS, DPA), and education (Certificate, MEd, EdD). The College of Osteopathic Medicine is Nevada's first osteopathic medical school and the state's second medical school overall. All major programs are accredited by their respective professional bodies.
Touro is the academic sponsor of Valley Hospital's graduate medical residency program, offering training in internal medicine, family medicine, orthopedic surgery, ophthalmology, dermatology, and neurology. The university received a $1.2 million state grant for a geriatric medicine fellowship launched in July 2017. Faculty research specializes in autism, cardiovascular physiology, cell biology, infectious diseases, neuroscience, osteopathic manipulative medicine, oncology, regenerative medicine, and women's health, with funding from the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
Located in Henderson's Black Mountain Business Parks, Touro currently occupies 142,000 sq ft with classrooms, laboratories, offices, a university library, common spaces, and clinics. The university operates the Jay Sexter Library, Tang Regional Center for Clinical Simulation, Cloobeck Regional Center for Disaster Life Support, and the Pierce Autism Center. Community resources include a full-service health center, physical therapy clinic, and active aging center serving the local geriatric population.
Touro Nevada is committed to community service through multiple initiatives including the Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, the Stallman Touro Clinic at The Shade Tree, and student healthcare outreach programs.
