The King's University is a Christian university in Southlake, Texas, offering Biblical education and practical ministry degrees.
The King's University integrates Biblical education and practical ministry to shape Spirit-formed individuals who follow Jesus, serve His Church, and are sent to impact the world. The University subscribes to the historic creeds of the Church, including the Apostles' Creed and Nicene Creed. It was described as one of the most affordable private colleges in the U.S.
Dr. Jack Hayford received a call to begin a seminary on February 16, 1996, while flying back to Los Angeles. Classes began at The King's College and Seminary in Los Angeles, California in September 1997. The institution became The King's University in 2010. In 2009, Gateway Church partnered with The King's University to create a branch campus in Southlake, Texas, and the move of main campus operations to Gateway Church was finalized in January 2014.
The University offers 15 accredited vocational ministry degree plans, including undergraduate and graduate degrees. Students can earn up to 100% of a bachelor's or associate degree online. The King's Seminary is accredited by the Commission on Accrediting of The Association of Theological Schools. TKU is also an Associate member of the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE).
