A for-profit art and design school in Jacksonville that operated from 2007 to 2015.
The Art Institute of Jacksonville offered programs in design, media arts, fashion, and culinary arts. The school began offering culinary programs in July 2007, shortly after its opening. As part of The Art Institutes system, it provided career-focused education aligned with creative industries.
The school opened in 2007 as a branch campus of Miami International University of Art & Design and operated under The Art Institutes corporate umbrella, a subsidiary of Education Management Corporation (EDMC). In 2015, following federal and state investigations into EDMC's recruitment practices and federal financial aid fraud, the Art Institute of Jacksonville announced its closure along with 14 other Art Institutes branches. The institution ceased new admissions and closed after enrolled students completed their degrees.
The Art Institute of Jacksonville was accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC).
