The college operates three main campuses across Long Island: the Ammerman Campus in Selden (the largest and original, opened 1962 on the grounds of a former tuberculosis sanatorium), the Michael J. SCCC competes in the NJCAA Division III, Region XV. The college fields men's teams in baseball, basketball, cross-country, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming, and tennis; women's teams in soccer, basketball, cheerleading, dance, cross-country, swimming, softball, tennis, and volleyball. The men's basketball team won the NJCAA Division III championship in 2003 and 2004; the women's basketball team won in 2003. The women's soccer team placed first in the regular season in 2005.
