SUNY Cobleskill offers undergraduate and bachelor's degree programs across agriculture, technology, business, culinary arts, hospitality, and liberal arts. The college earned the right to grant bachelor's degrees in 1987, marking a significant expansion of its academic mission. Academic facilities include the Center for Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR), agricultural complexes with livestock and equestrian facilities, and specialized buildings for business, computer technologies, and liberal arts.
The 902-acre campus features 10 residence halls accommodating full-time students, with options ranging from first-year experience housing to suite-style and townhouse living. Dining services are managed by Cobleskill Auxiliary Services. Athletic facilities include an equestrian center, baseball and softball fields, soccer field, running track, fitness center, tennis courts, and the Iorio Gymnasium. The Wellness Center provides medical support and counseling services. The college mascot is Coby T. Tiger, and school colors are orange and black.
SUNY Cobleskill's Fighting Tigers compete in NCAA Division III, primarily as members of the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) since 2020–21. Men's sports include basketball, cross country, equestrian, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swimming & diving, and track & field. Women's sports include basketball, cross country, equestrian, golf, lacrosse (added 2023–24), soccer, softball, swimming & diving, track & field, and volleyball. Equestrian competes in the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA), and track & field in the New York State College Track Conference (NYSCTC).
As of fall 2023, the undergraduate population was 69% White, 14% Hispanic, 9% Black, 3% two or more races, 2% Asian, and 1% international students. Economically, 43% of students were low-income (Pell grant recipients) and 57% were affluent. The college is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education and the New York State Education Department registers all academic programs.
