Academics
St. Stephen's College offers undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across 14 departments spanning sciences, humanities, and social sciences. The college emphasizes pursuit of excellence through merit-based admissions and faculty appointments, complemented by robust tutorials and lectures conducted with regularity. Campus & Infrastructure
Located at University Enclave, North Campus, Delhi, the college features a fully automated, air-conditioned library established in 1881 with over 100,000 books, rare collections including 7,000+ rare books and 4,000+ Persian manuscripts, and specialized sections for textbooks, videos, and archives. The library includes reading rooms with 222 seating capacity, computer and internet facilities, and an enabling unit for visually challenged students. Additional facilities include sports grounds, residential accommodation, chapel, dining hall, medical services, banking, and multiple activity centres.
Centres of Excellence
The college operates seven specialized centres: Centre for Languages (CFL), Centre for Advanced Learning (SCAL), Centre for Translation Studies, Centre for Gender Culture and Social Processes, Centre for Economic Research, Centre for Theoretical Physics, and Centre for Experimental Physics. These centres support advanced research, interdisciplinary learning, and specialized academic pursuits across multiple domains.
