Institutional Profile
St. Joseph's College, Devagiri, Kozhikode, was established in 1956 by the CMI Congregation and has been imparting quality education for 70 years as one of the most prestigious arts and science colleges in India. The college is affiliated to the University of Calicut and operates under the motto 'PRO DEO ET PATRIA' (For God and Country). It was granted autonomy in 2014 and has consistently demonstrated academic excellence through NAAC accreditation cycles.
Academic Excellence & Accreditation
The college achieved NAAC A Grade accreditation in 2004 and was recognized as a 'College with Potential for Excellence' by UGC in 2010. In 2016, it became the first college in India to receive A++ grade from NAAC with a CGPA of 3.76. Most recently, in 2024, the college was re-accredited with A++ grade (CGPA 3.65) in the Autonomous College Category. The institution maintains an ideal balance between curricular and co-curricular activities.
Academic Programs
