SSLC is an English language college for international students, with campuses in Vancouver, Victoria, and Toronto.
SSLC has supported students since 2017 and is a language college focused on English language programs for international students. It was formerly named Sprott Shaw Language College and was renamed SSLC in August 2025. Its mission is to advance as an innovative and dynamic international college, inspiring continuous growth and achievement in language enrichment for students within Canada and globally. Students come from more than 50 nationalities across its campuses.
SSLC offers General ESL, specialized programs such as Power Speaking, Medical English and IELTS Preparation, and University Pathway programs. Its language instructors are TESL Canada Certified. SSLC has partnership agreements with over 45 universities and colleges across Canada, which makes it easier for students to transition into higher education institutions.
SSLC has campuses in Vancouver, Victoria, and Toronto. The Vancouver campus is located at 549 Howe St 2nd Floor, Vancouver, BC V6C 2C2, and the Victoria campus is located at 31 Bastion Square, #101, Victoria, BC V8W 1J1. Student residences include SSLC King Edward and SSLC Viva, which offer high-speed internet, in-suite laundry, secured fob access, and on-site staff. Here2Talk mental health support is also available.
SSLC campuses are accredited by Languages Canada. The institution is a PTRIU-regulated institution under British Columbia's Private Training Act and holds the British Columbia EQA designation, which indicates it has met or exceeded the provincial government's quality assurance standards. According to the website, 9 in 10 students say they rapidly improved their speaking confidence.
