A private Christian Bible college in Birmingham that ceased operations in 2017.
Southeastern Bible College offered bachelor's and associate degrees through both traditional day programs and adult evening programs for students age 25 and up. The curriculum focused on biblical and theological education, preparing graduates for ministry roles including senior pastors, associate pastors, missionaries, teachers, and counselors. The college was accredited by the Association for Biblical Higher Education and attracted students from diverse Christian backgrounds including Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Church of God, and Assemblies of God traditions.
The college was non-denominational but required applicants to agree with core Christian principles, including faith in Jesus as Savior and belief in the Bible as the inspired word of God. The institution welcomed students from a broad range of Christian faiths and denominations.
Southeastern Bible College ceased operations in June 2017 due to financial challenges. Three months later, the board of trustees announced a merger with Piedmont International University, which subsequently became Carolina University, preserving the college's legacy and continuing its educational mission.
