Academics
SLIET offers diverse programs including Integrated Certificate Diploma, Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Technology, Master of Science, Ph.D., Integrated B.Sc.-M.Sc., Integrated M.Tech., and Master of Business Administration. The institute has 11 departments: Computer Science & Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, Electrical & Instrumentation Engineering, Food Engineering & Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, and Management & Humanities. Ph.D. programs are available in multiple departmental and interdisciplinary research areas.
Campus & Infrastructure
The campus includes a Central Library, workshops, multiple hostels, health center, sports facilities, innovation cell, centre of excellence, and guest house. The institute maintains an Administrative Computer Services System (A.C.S.S) for technical support. Various student clubs and societies support technical, cultural, social, and literary activities across campus.
Vision & Mission
SLIET aims to serve as an international platform for development and transfer of technical competence through formal and non-formal education, entrepreneurship, and research. The mission emphasizes flexible, modular programs in engineering and technology, promotion of self-development, extension services to industry and community, close industry interface for research, and institute-institute linkages for sustainable academic and research development.
Admissions
The institute is an autonomous deemed-to-be-university controlled by SLIET Society and fully funded by the Government of India. It awards its own certificates, diplomas, and degrees. The institute also offers DASA (Deemed University Admission for Students Abroad) admissions for international students.
Research & Innovation
SLIET maintains an active research environment with an Innovation Cell, Internal Quality Assurance Cell, and Centre of Excellence. The institute has established multiple MOUs with organizations including NHPC, IIT Mandi, Asian Institute of Technology Thailand, and ISGEC. Faculty members have received patents, fellowships, and awards; notable achievements include Raman-Charpak Fellowship recipients and Stanford top 2% scientists.
Student Life
