Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering is located at JSS TI Campus, Manasagangothri, Mysuru 570006. The campus covers 102 acres and includes several recognizable buildings. The institute's motto is "A commitment to Technical Education". The college was elevated to the level of JSS Science and Technology University in 2016 and operates as a constituent college of that university.
History
The college was conceived in 1963 as the dream child of Jagadguru Dr. Sri Shivarathri Rajendra Mahaswamigalavaru, the 23rd pontiff of Sri Suttur Math, and was started under the auspices of the JSS Mahavidyapeetha. Courses in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering were started first. Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation was introduced in 1978, and Information Science and Engineering in 2000. The college was the first in Karnataka to introduce the Electronics and Communication branch of engineering, in 1968.
Academics and Recognition
The vision is to be an international leader in engineering education, research and application of knowledge to benefit society globally. The college aims to foster and maintain mutually beneficial partnerships with alumni, industry, state and central governments through public services assistance and collaborative research. The college has conducted 16 programmes under the MHRD's GIAN programme. It is accredited by NBA, New Delhi, and was selected as Lead Institute for Assistance by the World Bank under the TEQIP Scheme of the Government of India.
Admissions
The regular undergraduate programme (B.E.) is open to candidates with PUC or 10+2 qualifications, and lateral entry to the second year of B.E. is also available. Regular course seats are filled through the Karnataka Examination Authority. An evening course is offered for employed diploma holders.

The campus includes a Library and Information Centre, a Digital Library, a Reference Section, a Journal Section, a Book Bank for SC/ST students, and Reprographic and Scanning Services.
