SJB Institute of Technology (SJBIT) was established in 2001 by Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust (SAST) under the guidance of His Holiness Jagadguru Padma Bhushana Dr. Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji. Its vision is to become a recognized technical education centre with a global perspective. Its mission is to provide learning opportunities that foster students' ethical values, intelligent development in science and technology, and social responsibility. The institute is located at BGS Health & Education City, Dr. Vishnuvardhan Road, Kengeri, Bengaluru, Karnataka.
Academics
SJBIT was offered autonomous status under Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, from the academic year 2023-24. It is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC) with 2(f) and 12(B) certificates. Undergraduate programmes include Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication, Information Science and Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering.
