Academics
Shri Shivaji Science College offers a comprehensive range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs across 13+ departments including Botany, Chemistry, Computer Science & Applications, Environmental Science, Forensic Science, Geology and Geoinformatics, Mathematics, Microbiology, Physics, Statistics, Zoology, and Business Administration (BBA). The college also operates a Junior College (XI-XII). Programs are designed to develop analytical insights, intellectual maturity, and ethical values in students, with emphasis on both technical knowledge and soft skills development.
Campus & Infrastructure
The college features a fully automated library established in 1969, housing 36,174 books, 928 reference books, 17 journals, 206 CDs, and 21 newspapers, with DELNET and NLIST subscriptions. Additional facilities include a Central Instrumentation Cell, Innovative Pedagogy Development Centre, hostel accommodations (girls only), canteen, cooperative store, and SSVMK Sahakari Patsanstha. The campus is ISO 9001:2015 certified and maintains a green campus policy with facilities for students with disabilities.
Placements & Outcomes
The Training and Placement Cell actively facilitates campus and off-campus recruitment drives with major companies including HCL, Capgemini, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, L&T Infotech, and Cognizent Technologies. The placement committee organizes seminars and workshops to develop soft skills and career awareness. The college maintains dedicated placement records and provides career counselling through its Career Counselling Cell to maximize student employment opportunities.
