History
The college was founded in 1958 under the name Shri Durga Ji Post Graduate College, Chandeshwar, Azamgarh. Originally established as an agriculture college, it was affiliated with Gorakhpur University from its founding. The college has conducted wheat (barley) breeding research under an ICAR-approved research project in 1979 and 1984.
