WSIPC is a public agency cooperative dedicated to delivering innovative and cost-effective technology solutions to K-12 educational communities. The organization provides complete information management systems including student information systems (SIS), human resources management, and fiscal/financial systems. As a cooperative structure, WSIPC negotiates pricing and procures contracts to offer substantial discounts on software, hardware, and services to member districts, ensuring that technology investments maximize resources available for classroom instruction.
WSIPC's primary software offering is the Skyward School Management System, deployed across member districts. The organization developed its own ERP application (WISE) before transitioning to Skyward in 2001, creating the integrated WESPaC platform. In 2014, WSIPC launched My School Data, a web-based dashboard providing access to student data and assessment information. The cooperative has been instrumental in advancing educational technology infrastructure, including establishing WEDNET.EDU in 1992 and joining the Washington K-20 Network in 2000 to provide statewide high-speed connectivity.
WSIPC hosts WASWUG (Washington Skyward Users Group), an annual conference that began in 2005 with over 800 attendees at inception and grew to 1,400+ by 2014. The three-day conference features 175+ breakout sessions across Student, HR, and Fiscal modules taught by WSIPC staff and power users. WASWUG Spring and Fall conferences were combined into a single annual hybrid event held in March, providing networking and professional development opportunities for members across the five-state region.
