Rose–Hulman concentrates on engineering and natural sciences with twelve academic departments offering over thirty undergraduate and graduate degree programs. The institute is regionally accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and maintains ABET accreditation for eleven engineering and computer science programs including biomedical, chemical, civil, computer, electrical, mechanical, and software engineering. With a student-to-faculty ratio of 11:1 and 99% of faculty holding PhDs, the school prioritizes undergraduate education while maintaining a small graduate program for master's degrees. The 1,300-acre suburban campus in Terre Haute features modern facilities including the Branam and Kremer Innovation Centers for rapid prototyping and manufacturing, the New Academic Building (opened 2021), and the Mussallem Union. Rose–Hulman offers summer STEM camps including Operation Catapult, Project SELECT, and Rose Accelerate for high school students interested in engineering and science.
The Class of 2025 achieved 95% placement within six months of graduation, with graduates securing positions at 231 unique employers including Caterpillar, Epic Systems, and Rolls-Royce, as well as acceptance to 50 graduate schools including Brown, Carnegie Mellon, and Stanford.
