Academics

The school is a guild school that provides post-secondary theatre training within a community of professional working artists. The complete Professional Theatre Training program comprises a 1-year Certificate in Theatre Foundations, a 2-year Diploma, and a 2-year Mentorship program. The Theatre Foundations program lasts eight months and includes classes in acting, singing, movement, technical theatre, visual art, and more. The Diploma provides experience in various theatre disciplines, culminating in two shows performed and produced on the Rosebud Studio Stage. Mentorship offers training in four disciplines: Acting, Music Performance, Theatre Arts, and Technical Theatre. Upon completing Mentorship, students are inducted into the Rosebud School of the Arts Guild as a Fellow of Rosebud School of the Arts (F.R.S.A.) Small class sizes and one-on-one coaching for advanced students are offered, and advanced students apprentice with the professional team at Rosebud Theatre. Each year students travel to New York City, London, U.K., or Canada's West Coast to immerse themselves in theatre, workshops, and tours.
