R-CCC offers degree, diploma, and certificate programs across liberal arts, business, science, technology, health professions, education, and public services. The college provides approximately 20 curricular programs designed to prepare students for career entry or transfer to four-year institutions. Notable programs include nursing (ADN), mechatronics engineering technology, and a Child Care Academy. Students can tailor their schedules with on-campus, online, full-time, part-time, and evening/weekend options.
The college occupies a 41-acre campus featuring seven instructional and administrative buildings, plus a seven-acre Arboretum/Environmental Science Outdoor Laboratory. The campus has expanded into the vacant Northampton High School-East building to offer GED and computer literacy programs. Student services include a bookstore, library, career services, clubs and organizations, student government, and TRiO support services. Distance learning is available through Open LMS Moodle with 24/7 technical support.
R-CCC maintains an open-door admissions policy, allowing applications at any time during the academic year. New students must complete a residency application, submit transcripts, and may be required to take a placement test. The college welcomes international students and returning students. Career and College Promise (CCP) provides tuition-free pathways for eligible North Carolina high school students to earn college credit while in high school, with pathways in career/technical education and college transfer.
More than 90% of R-CCC students apply for and receive financial aid. The college offers grants, work-study, and scholarships funded by individuals and organizations. Community college tuition costs significantly less than four-year institutions. The Next NC Scholarship provides free tuition and fees for eligible students. Payment plans are available to help students manage costs.
