About
Rangapara College was established in 1979 and is located at P.O. Rangapara, District Sonitpur, Assam, PIN 784505. Its mission is to transform lives and serve society by promoting the participation of rural students in higher education. The college's vision is to reach the zenith of excellence in higher education by generating exemplary human resources.
History
In 1975, communities of Rangapara and neighboring areas formed a college management committee, with Mr. A. J. Singla elected as president. A tea company donated 122 bighas and 3 kathas of land for the campus. A Government of Assam circular dated May 31, 1975 banned the establishment of new colleges, temporarily halting progress.
Academics
The college introduced the Science stream, offering Major and Minor courses across Science, Arts, and Commerce. It has launched a Postgraduate program in Hindi and offers the Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP – BA-BEd), recognized by NCTE. The Department of History is headed by Mr. Pradip Barman, Assistant Professor and HoD.

Facilities include a gymnasium, auditorium, canteen, college mart, and secured hostels for boys and girls.
Admissions
ITEP (Integrated BA-BEd) admissions are conducted via NTA-NCET.
Recognition
