Randolph Community College offers over 25 vocational and technical degrees, including college transfer programs (Associate in Arts and Associate in Science) and continuing education. Programs span fields such as nursing, automotive systems, welding, information technology, criminal justice, early childhood education, and healthcare. The college partners with Randolph County School System to operate Randolph Early College High School (RECHS), which targets economically disadvantaged, minority, and first-generation college-bound students.
The main campus in Asheboro spans 35 acres and includes eleven major buildings, plus the Richard Petty Education Center for Automotive Systems and Autobody programs (opened 2009). Three satellite centers serve the region: Archdale Center, Randleman Center, and a 60-acre Emergency Services Training Center near Franklinville. Student life includes the Armadillo Café & Market, campus store, library, parking, and student clubs. The college mascot is the Armadillos, with official colors of blue, silver, and orange.
RCC accepts applications for degree programs, visiting student admission (taking a few classes), and non-degree/non-credit programs. The college offers placement testing and assessment services. International students are welcome. Admission pathways include regular admission, transfer admission, and special credit student options. The college also provides resources for high school students through dual enrollment and the Career and College Promise program.
RCC's workforce development and continuing education programs provide job training and industry-recognized certifications in fields including therapeutic massage, nursing assistant, HVAC, welding, phlebotomy, veterinary assisting, health coaching, and manicure/nail technology. The college also offers College and Career Readiness programs at no cost for individuals aged 16+, including Adult Basic Education, High School Equivalency (GED/HiSet), Adult High School, and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL).
