History
Ramjas College was founded in 1917 by the educationist and philanthropist Rai Kedar Nath. The college is one of the oldest colleges of Delhi. It began in the humble precincts of Darya Ganj in Old Delhi. The college states that it turned 100 and celebrated its centennial year in January 2017.
Mission and Philosophy
The motto of the college is 'Gyānāt Partaram Na Hi', meaning 'Knowledge has no comparison.' Its vision is to become an institution of excellence that produces competent professionals with Indian ethos, capable of leading and serving society globally. The college aims to realize the intellectual, creative, cultural and socio-political growth of students and the college community. It invites all students irrespective of gender, caste, religion and physical challenges.
