Rabbinical Academy Mesivta Rabbi Chaim Berlin is a postsecondary Talmudic institution offering undergraduate and graduate divisions. The curriculum emphasizes both high standards of academic achievement and the development of clearly defined values to prepare students for lives of personal and social integrity. The mesivta (high school) serves as a feeder school for the college-level beth midrash, with advanced students progressing to Kollel Gur Aryeh, the institution's postgraduate kollel division.
The yeshiva maintains multiple locations in Brooklyn, including its main building on Coney Island Avenue housing the beth midrash, kollel, offices, and dormitory. Additional facilities include a complete-block elementary school division on Avenue I and a high school division on Coney Island Avenue. The institution operates Camp Morris in Sullivan County, New York as a summer location, and runs a summer youth program called Chaim Day Camp in Brooklyn.
The yeshiva was established in 1904 and renamed in 1914 for Chaim Berlin, Chief Rabbi of Moscow and later Jerusalem. Leadership has been passed through generations of rosh yeshivas, most recently to Yosef Halioua and Tzvi Fink following the 2024 passing of Shlomo Halioua. The institution is affiliated with the Lithuanian-style Haredi movement and maintains a Jerusalem branch, Yeshiva Pachad Yitzchok, established in the late 1970s.
