Queensborough offers more than 50 associate degree programs including Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Science (AS), and Associate in Applied Science (AAS). Transfer curricula prepare students for continuation at four-year institutions, while career curricula combine professional preparation with general education, serving students entering business, health sciences, industry, and government. The college is accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
The 37-acre suburban campus in Bayside features ten major instructional buildings and significant cultural institutions. The Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center houses extensive archival materials; the Queensborough Performing Arts Center (QPAC), founded in 1963, seats over 1,000 and underwent renovation 2023–2024; the QCC Art Gallery, established 1966, occupies the historic 1920s Oakland Building. Students access campus via three public transit routes (7, E/F/M/R, E/J/Z trains with connecting buses). Athletics compete in NJCAA with men's baseball, basketball, cross country, soccer, swimming, and track & field; women's basketball, cross country, swimming, track & field, and volleyball.
Queensborough is an open admissions institution accepting applications for Summer and Fall semesters. The college serves diverse learners including international students (with ESL/Port of Entry program), non-degree students, adult learners, senior citizens, and high school students. Transfer and readmit pathways are available. The college participates in CUNY Reconnect, offering tuition-free education to eligible New Yorkers aged 25–55 who have not completed college.
