The organization started in 1992 with the EMR Program and later developed the PCP and ACP programs. It has over 30 years of experience. It also offers continuing education in emergency medical services, including ACLS, PEARS, PALS and Airway Programs.
Professional Medical Associates offers EMS programs from First Medical Responder through to Advanced Care Paramedic. Classes are small, with a 4:1 student-to-instructor ratio and hands-on, skill-based learning. Students have access to online support available 24/7. Faculty offers exceptional field experience and a professional instructor development program. The FMR and PCP programs are also offered through a partnership with Prairie College in Three Hills.
The Corporate Head Office is in St. Albert, and the Southern Alberta Office is at Suite 112, 11420 – 27 Street S.E., Calgary. The organization takes pride in its facilities to ensure students receive the best program available.
Programs maintain active approval through the Alberta College of Paramedics as required for Alberta. The EMR, PCP and ACP programs are licensed under the Private Vocational Schools Act, serving students from the St. Albert and Calgary offices.
