History
Pioneer Trust was founded in 1997 by Sri. G. Devarajan and Smt. D. Suguna. The Pioneer Trust established Pioneer College of Arts and Science in 1998. Smt. Aparna Rajkumar is the current Managing Trustee of Pioneer Trust and Secretary of the college.
Academics
The college offers three-year UG courses (BSc, BCom, BCA and BBA) and two-year PG courses (MCom and MSc). It also offers MPhil and PhD research options in Computer Science and Commerce. The college aims to create a center of academic excellence in education and research, and has consistently produced high percentages of results and university ranks in all streams every year.
Campus & Facilities
The campus includes the Devarajan Auditorium, built to accommodate about 1000 students. The college has six computer laboratories with over 300 computers and LCD projectors. Its library is updated every year with the latest publications, including professional journals and magazines. Facilities also include backup power systems (Gensets, UPS and Solar), a transport bus fleet, a sports complex and smart classrooms.
