PCC offers over 144 programs including associate degrees (AA, AB, AS, AFA, AAA, AGS) and certificates across multiple disciplines. The college provides traditional classroom, distance learning, and hands-on learning opportunities. Notable programs include health professions, aviation technology (FAA-approved), veterinary technology, emergency medical technology, hotel/restaurant management, and therapeutic massage. PCC participates in the Arizona General Education Curriculum (AGEC) for seamless transfer to Arizona state universities.
PCC operates five main campuses (West, East, Downtown, Desert Vista, Northwest) plus four education centers, including one at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. The college hosts the Aztec Middle College for concurrent high school and college credit. Student life includes 15 intercollegiate sports teams, student publications (Pima Post newspaper, SandScript literary magazine), Army ROTC, performing arts, honors programs, and Phi Theta Kappa. The East Campus Observatory, established in 1989, serves both students and the public.
PCC uses multiple placement pathways including high school/GED transcripts (Multiple Measures), Pima EdReady online testing, and prior college coursework. The college welcomes first-generation students, transfer students, and those seeking workforce training. Dual enrollment is available for high school students. In 2019, PCC partnered with Catholic University of America to offer a dual-degree program (PCC Associate + CUA Bachelor in Business Management) with a four-year total cost of $32,000. The college is developing Centers of Excellence in Applied Technology, Information Technology, and Health Professions to serve aerospace, defense, and healthcare industries. PCC is designated as a space-grant institution.
