About

PES was founded as the People's Education Society in 1973 to help students in need. The People's Education Society was started in 1965 by Prof. M.R. Doreswamy with a school for underprivileged children in Thyagarajanagar, Bengaluru. The university's vision is to be a transformative institution that equips students to navigate the complexities of the real world. Its stated values are Perseverance, Excellence and Service.

History

In 2013, PES Institute of Technology (PESIT) gained university status and became PES University. The university is located at 100 Feet Ring Road, BSK III Stage, Bangalore-560085.

Academics

PES offers over 60 programs. It has 8 Centres of Excellence that work on inter-disciplinary research, providing hubs where students, faculty and industry can collaborate. The university was ranked sixth in the Outlook-ICARE India University Rankings 2019 and was placed seventh on the list of India's Most Trusted Educational Institutes.

Campus & Facilities

Admissions

B.Tech admissions are available through Karnataka CET (government counselling), the PESU Merit Quota, and the Higher Fee Category (Management Quota). B.Tech Diploma lateral entry is available through Karnataka DCET and the PES Entrance Process. PES has given Rs. 160+ Crores in merit scholarships till date.
