Olympic College offers certificates, associate degrees, and bachelor's degrees across seven academic divisions: Business & Information Technology, Healthcare, Manufacturing & Trades, Science/Technology/Engineering/Math (STEM), Social Sciences & Humanities, Libraries/Tutoring & College Success, and Transitional Studies. The college provides 125 academic programs organized into Academic Pathways that guide students toward transfer to four-year universities or direct workforce entry. Applied bachelor's degrees are available in Filmmaking, Information Systems, Nursing/Veteran Nursing, and Organizational Leadership. Through partnerships with Washington State University and Western Washington University, students can complete an associate degree at Olympic College and transfer into partner programs to earn a bachelor's degree without leaving Kitsap County.
The college operates three campuses: a 33-acre main campus in Bremerton, a 20-acre satellite campus in Poulsbo (15.9 miles away), and a 27-acre campus in Shelton (38.4 miles away). The Shelton campus land was donated by Simpson Timber in 1991, and the Poulsbo campus land was donated by the Olhava Family in 1993. Student life includes athletics, fitness center, food services, residence hall housing, student clubs, student government, and multicultural services. The college serves a predominantly full-time student body (59%), with 56% female enrollment and 73% white students—more diverse than the surrounding counties.
Olympic College operates as an open-door institution welcoming students from all backgrounds. The admissions process includes eight steps: applying online, activating student accounts, funding education, determining English and Math placement through assessment, completing new student orientation, scheduling advising, enrolling in classes, and paying tuition and fees. As of July 1, 2026, the application fee is $30, with waivers available for residents of Clallam, Jefferson, Kitsap, Mason, or Pierce counties. Special admission pathways exist for military/veteran programs, Running Start high school students, international students, transfer students, and healthcare programs.
The college provides comprehensive academic support including tutoring, math and engineering achievement resources, computer labs, libraries, and assessment & testing services. Student support services include career center, counseling, disability services, food pantry, child care, and reentry support. The college awards approximately 400,000 dollars in scholarships annually and awards approximately 2,000 degrees and certificates each year. Additional support includes English as a Second Language (ESL), GED preparation, integrated basic education and skills training (I-BEST), and learning communities.
