Ohio Christian University offers Bachelor of Arts, Associate of Arts, and Master of Arts degrees across 30+ majors including business, education, Christian ministry, information technology, and human services. The university provides both on-campus residential programs and flexible online/adult degree options. All undergraduate students participate in leadership training based on John C. Maxwell's principles as part of the freshman seminar. The institution is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and recognized by the Association for Biblical Higher Education.
The rural Circleville campus features the Maxwell Center, Johnson Hall, and the Robert W. Plaster Free Enterprise Center for classes. Residential facilities include York Hall and Moore Hall for freshmen, with New Hall and New 2 Hall for upperclassmen, plus on-campus townhouses. The Hickman Student Center houses dining, student development offices, and recreational spaces. Chapel services are held twice weekly in the Ministry & Performing Arts Center. The Student Involvement Council organizes activities including midnight breakfast during finals week.
The Trailblazers compete in the National Christian College Athletic Association (NCCAA) Division I as an independent in the Mideast Region. OCU fields 19 intercollegiate varsity teams across men's, women's, and co-ed sports including baseball, basketball, soccer, track & field, volleyball, golf, and eSports. The university plans to add women's swimming for the 2025–2026 academic year.
