Northwest State Community College is organized into five academic divisions offering nearly 70 degree and certificate programs. The divisions include Allied Health, Business & Public Service, Arts & Science, Industrial Technologies, Nursing, and STEM. The college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission and maintains honor societies including Alpha Delta Nu (Nursing), Kappa Beta Delta (Business), and Phi Theta Kappa.
The main campus is located in Archbold, Ohio, housed in a two-story building combining several structures. In January 2026, the college completed development of a full-service campus in Van Wert, Ohio, to serve learners from Paulding and Van Wert counties.
NSCC operates an open enrollment policy. The student body is diverse in age, with approximately 58% of students under 25 years old and 42% age 25 or older (Fall 2021). The college also serves high school students through College Credit Plus programs. Racial and ethnic composition is predominantly White Non-Hispanic (62%), with 27% unstated or unknown race/ethnicity, and smaller populations of Hispanic (8%), Asian/Pacific Islander (1%), and Black Non-Hispanic (1%) students.
