NWFSC offers associate degrees, bachelor's degrees, and certificate programs across multiple disciplines including nursing, education, business, engineering, health sciences, and workforce development. The college launched its first bachelor's programs in 2004 (Project Management and Nursing) and has since expanded to include Elementary Education, Middle Grades Math and Science Education, Early Childhood Education, and Management and Supervision. The Collegiate High School, established in 2000, allows high school students to earn both a diploma and an Associate degree tuition-free, with recognition as a top-performing Florida school.
The main Niceville campus spans 264 acres and features the 120,000-square-foot Mattie Kelly Arts Center with a 1,650-seat theater, art galleries, and music facilities. The Susan Myers Learning Resources Center houses the Niceville Campus Library and Zoghby Learning Commons. Additional facilities include Raider Arena, a child development center, and computer labs. Student life includes organizations, intramural sports, the Raider Pantry, and cultural events. The college operates multiple regional centers to serve the broader Emerald Coast community.
NWFSC accepts first-time college students, dual enrollment high school students, transfer students, returning students, and international students requiring F-1 or M-1 visas. Selective programs have competitive admissions processes with additional requirements. The college emphasizes accessibility and offers flexible online course options. International admissions support and Spanish-language materials are available.
The college has produced notable alumni including professional athletes (Chris Duarte, Xavier Moon, Kedrick Brown), MLB players (Robert Coello, Jason Michaels), and actor Alan Ritchson. NWFSC maintains strong community partnerships, including a joint campus with the University of West Florida in Fort Walton Beach. The institution is accredited by SACS and operates with a 2024 budget of $46.4 million and endowment of $38.3 million.
