National Institute of Technology Warangal is a public institution in Warangal, established in 1959. National Institute of Technology Warangal (NITW), established on 10 October 1959, was the first Regional Engineering College in India (formerly REC Warangal). It is an Institute of National Importance under the Ministry of Education, Government of India, offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes in engineering, sciences, management, and humanities. The fully residential campus in Warangal, Telangana, houses thirteen academic departments and advanced research centres.
