The building underwent major renovation following a 2001 fire and continued improvements through 2020.
The Academy hosts two major annual public events: the Tribeca Ball (held since 1994) and the Take Home a Nude auction at Sotheby's, both known to attract high-profile attendees and serve as important fundraisers.
