A defunct Presbyterian college in Maryland that operated from 1876 to 1912.
New Windsor College was established in 1876 by the Presbyterian church on the site of the former Calvert College in New Windsor, Maryland. The institution awarded its first bachelor's degree in 1881. By the 1890s, the college operated three distinct divisions: New Windsor College (granting bachelor's degrees to men), Windsor Business College, and Windsor Female College (a finishing school granting the degree of mistress of polite literature). Through 1894, a total of 35 students had received bachelor's degrees from the institution.
The college was taken over by Blue Ridge College in 1912, ending its independent operation. This marked the end of the second iteration of New Windsor College; an earlier institution by the same name had existed from 1843 to 1851 on the same site.
