NEBCS offers rigorous undergraduate and graduate programs centered on biblical education and missional training. Undergraduate degrees include an Associate of Arts in Biblical Studies (60 credit hours) and a Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies (120 credit hours). Graduate programs include the Master of Arts in Theology (60 credits), Master of Arts in Ministry (60 credits), Master of Divinity (84 credits), and Master of Ministry (36 credits). The college also provides stackable certificates in Biblical Studies, Theological Studies, Ministry Practice, Apologetics, and Spiritual Disciplines & Formation. Courses are available in live and fully online formats, with a Fast Track Masters option and dual enrollment for high school students.
NEBCS serves as a training ground for vocational ministry leaders and lay Christians seeking deeper engagement with Scripture. The student body is diverse, ranging in age from 16 to 75 with varied life and ministry experience. The college emphasizes intellectual exploration alongside real-world application, with faculty described as skilled, experienced, and highly qualified. NEBCS partners with churches and organizations throughout Maine and New England, including chaplaincy training at a major regional hospital in Bangor, and works to place apprentice ministers in congregations.
