Academics
NLUO offers a comprehensive range of law programs designed with flexibility and social relevance. Undergraduate programs include BA LLB, BBA LLB, LLB, and BA Law, all designed per National Education Policy 2020 with job-ready curricula featuring 40% theory and 60% skill-oriented learning. Postgraduate offerings include LLM and MBA Healthcare Management & Law (MBA-HML). The university also offers Ph.D. programs in Law and Interdisciplinary studies, along with certificate programs, diploma courses, and credit courses. All programs emphasize both academic excellence and practical application.
Campus & Infrastructure
Located in Cuttack at Naraj Road, Sector 13, CDA (Pin Code 753015), NLUO provides comprehensive campus facilities including a library, hostel accommodations, sports facilities, health centre, and cultural spaces. The university maintains an Accessibility Lab inaugurated in March 2026. The campus infrastructure supports both academic and extracurricular activities, with facilities designed to foster intellectual development and student welfare.
Admissions
NLUO conducts admissions for multiple programs through various pathways. BA Law admissions for 2026-27 are conducted through www.samsodisha.gov.in with no age limit. MBA-HML admissions require a graduate degree with minimum 50% score (45% for reserved categories), with selection based on academic record, statement of purpose, work experience, and personal interview. The university also accepts CLAT scores and international qualifications. Admissions are available for NRI/NRI Sponsored/PIO/OCI categories and foreign nationals.
Research & Innovation
NLUO is committed to research and scholarship with multiple research centres including the Centre for Child Rights (established 2015, celebrating 11th anniversary in 2026).
