Academics
MSRCASC offers eight undergraduate and seven postgraduate programs across Arts, Science, Commerce, and Management streams. Undergraduate programs include BA, B.Com (General, ACCA, Financial Technology), BBA (with Business Analytics), BCA (with AI&ML), and BSc specializations in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Electronics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Genetics, and Food Technology. Postgraduate offerings include MSc (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry), M.Com, MCA, MBA, and PhD programs in Biotechnology and Microbiology. The curriculum is industry-aligned and regularly updated to reflect emerging trends and societal needs.
Campus & Infrastructure
The college operates from a modern, purpose-built campus spanning 2.9 acres with approximately 307,317 sq. ft. of built-up area across six floors and three basement levels. The campus features 69 ICT-enabled classrooms, 30 well-equipped laboratories, state-of-the-art auditoria with advanced audio-visual facilities, a fully automated library with extensive print and electronic resources, high-speed internet and campus-wide Wi-Fi, and a centralized cafeteria. Additional amenities include a fitness centre with modern equipment, multi-purpose sports ground, dedicated courts for basketball, tennis, and badminton, medical support, CCTV surveillance, and nearby hostel accommodation for outstation students.
Research & Innovation
Research is a major institutional focus with Departments of Biotechnology, Microbiology, and Commerce recognized as research centres by Bengaluru City University. The college actively promotes faculty and student research initiatives, collaborates with industry partners, and has received external research funding. The institution has been selected under the DBT-STAR College Scheme, highlighting its strength in sciences. MSRCASC serves as a Learning Support Centre for IGNOU and is an education partner with Biocon Academy, offering specialized certificate courses in Quality Control and Sterile Manufacturing.
Admissions & Student Support
Admissions for 2026-27 are open online for all programs. The process involves online application, provisional selection with fee payment, reporting on designated dates, and document submission. UG application fee is Rs. 1,200 and PG application fee is Rs. 2,200 (non-refundable). All admissions are merit-based. The college provides robust placement support, industry collaborations, and emphasis on co-curricular and extracurricular development through NCC (Air Force and Army wings), NSS/YRC, sports programs, and student council activities.
Community Engagement
MSRCASC actively participates in the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), a flagship program of the Ministry of Education, having adopted six villages for rural development initiatives. The college engages students and faculty in socio-economic surveys, community health outreach, sustainable practices, and educational interventions, reinforcing its commitment to nation-building and social responsibility.
