About
MNR College of Pharmacy (MNRCOP) is located at the MNR Higher Education and Research Academy (MNR-HERA) Campus in Sangareddy, Telangana State. The college was established under the aegis of the MNR Educational Trust in 2004. Its address is MNR Nagar, Fasalwadi, Narsapur Road, Sangareddy - 502294. The campus is about one hour's drive from Hyderabad, which is described as the Pharma hub of India.
History
The MNR Educational Trust was formed on August 15, 1974, and was founded by Sri. M.N. Raju, Chairman of MNR Educational Group. The college was established under the trust in 2004. Its intake has grown from 60 at its inception to 200.
Academics
The college is affiliated to Osmania University and approved by the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI), a statutory body of the Government of India that regulates pharmacy education. It offers B.Pharm, Pharma-D, Pharma-D (Post Baccalaureate) and M.Pharm courses. Its main motto is "I CAN", which aims to help each student stand on his own feet.
Campus & Facilities
The MNR-HERA campus is spread across 110 acres of green grounds with large trees. It includes a Medical Educational Complex with a 760-bedded multispecialty hospital, where students gain clinical experience. The college has laboratories for training students to become scientist, industrial or community pharmacists. Listed facilities include a library, theoretical laboratory, hostel, canteen, sports and cultural facilities, transportation, medical facilities, IT/Wi-Fi, security, and NSS/NCC.
Admissions
Pharm-D (Doctor of Pharmacy) is a 6-year programme open to BiPC/MPC stream (10+2) students. Undergraduate admission is open to BiPC/MPC stream (10+2) students. Pharma-D (Post Baccalaureate) requires a pass in B.Pharmacy. Postgraduate admission requires a pass in B.Pharmacy.
Recognition
The college is accredited by NAAC and is one of the few pharmacy colleges in India to hold this accreditation. It is approved by the Committee for the Purpose of Control and Supervision of Experiments on Animals (CPCSEA).
