Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology (MCET) is a self-financing private educational institution situated in Pollachi, Coimbatore District, Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to Anna University and approved by AICTE. It became an autonomous institution in 2011. Its address is Mackkinaickenpatti (Post), Udumalai Road, Pollachi-642003.
History
MCET was established in 1998 to commemorate the 75th birthday of Arutchelvar Dr. N. Mahalingam, whose vision it is. The Nachimuthu Industrial Association Trust, established in 1956, is associated with the college's origins, motivated by his father's vision.
Academics
The college offers twelve undergraduate programmes, including B.E Civil Engineering and B.E Mechanical Engineering, each with an intake of 60. It also offers the MCA (Master of Computer Applications) with an intake of 60. The B.E Computer Science & Engineering programme is accredited by NBA as Tier 1, and NBA approval is listed for Mechanical, ECE, EEE, CSE and IT. The college mission is to impart high quality, competency based technical education in Engineering and Technology.

The Central Library holds over 64,734 volumes of books, and the college provides high-speed internet with 1000 Mbps bandwidth and over 2000 latest computers.
