Max the Mutt College of Animation, Art & Design is a Toronto college founded in 1996 that trains students for careers in concept art, animation, and illustration.
MTM College was founded in 1996 by two artists who saw a gap in training. It is a school built by artists, for artists. The college trains students for careers in Concept Art, Animation, and Illustration through focused, portfolio-driven programs led by working industry professionals.
MTM College was established in 1996. What began as a small, hands-on learning environment quickly grew, as artists kept asking for more.
Programs include Illustration and Storytelling for Sequential Arts, Concept Art for Animation and Video Games, and Animation. Small class sizes and direct 1-on-1 mentorship help students develop skills, discipline, and confidence. Instructors are actively working in animation, concept art, and illustration. Programs are available in-person in downtown Toronto and online across Canada.
The campus is located at 260 Spadina Ave. #500, Toronto, ON, M5T 2E4, in the heart of downtown Toronto, close to the Spadina and St. Patrick subway. The neighbourhood is student friendly. The college offers student support services.
Admission uses a standard application with portfolio review.
