Marian University offers 40+ degree programs across six schools, from associate degrees through doctorates. The College of Osteopathic Medicine, opened in 2013, was Indiana's second osteopathic medical school and the first Catholic one. The Leighton School of Nursing offers accelerated BSN programs completable in 16 months, while the Witchger School of Engineering and Klipsch Educators College provide specialized training. All programs emphasize Franciscan values of dignity, peace, justice, and stewardship alongside rigorous academics.
The main Indianapolis campus spans 120 acres (200 acres total with satellite facilities) four miles northwest of downtown, featuring the historic Allison Mansion, Nina Mason Pulliam EcoLab (55-acre wetland), and the Indy Cycloplex velodrome. Students enjoy nearly 30 clubs, intramural sports, and residence halls. The university also operates a Plymouth location in northern Indiana and online programs. Adjacent Bishop Simon Bruté College Seminary serves Catholic seminarians who are also Marian students.
The Knights compete in 24 varsity sports through the NAIA Crossroads League and MSFA. Marian has won five national championships, including football titles in 2012 and 2015, and women's basketball in 2026. The cycling team is nationally renowned, practicing at the Major Taylor Velodrome. Men's basketball, established in 1954, is the oldest intercollegiate team. The university also operates the Ancilla Chargers at its Plymouth location in the NJCAA.
