About
Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology was established in 1999 by Maharaja Agrasen Technical Education Society, a charitable trust comprising a group of educationists, industrialists, businessmen, professionals and philanthropists. The institute is a private, self-financed institution located at PSP Area, Plot No-1, Sector-22, Rohini, Delhi-110086. Its vision is to attain global excellence through education, innovation, research, and work ethics with the commitment to serve humanity.
History
The institute began its first batch with 180 B.Tech. students in 1999. The Society was promoted by a group of well known industrialists, businessmen, professionals and philanthropists with the aim of promoting quality education in technology and management. Dr. Nand Kishore Garg is the founder and Chief Advisor of the Society. The institute has been constantly ranked amongst the top engineering institutes by DATAQUEST.
Academics
At present, the institute offers Bachelor's Degrees in 13 engineering disciplines, including Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology and Mechanical Engineering. A Postgraduate degree in Master of Business Administration is offered with an intake of 180 students. The institute is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education and affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi. Its NBA accreditation covers CSE, ECE, EEE, IT and MAE programmes.
Campus & Facilities
The campus comprises 10 blocks, including an Admin Block with Wi-Fi connectivity, well equipped modern laboratories, a Learning Resource Centre with books and e-resources, a Boys Hostel, a Gym and an Auditorium. Listed facilities include a Library, Digital Library, Hostel Mess, Hostel Common Room, Gymnasium and Sports Facilities, Computer Centre, and Computer Labs.
Admissions
Admission routes include CUET-UG merit-based admission for B.Tech and BBA under GGSIPU, and a National Level Test (CET) merit-based admission. Lateral entry to B.Tech is available for diploma holders and through B.Sc (CET code 129). Management quota admission is also listed.
