History

Established in 1969 by Ray Szmanda as Trans-American School of Broadcasting, the institution evolved to reflect changes in the media field. Ed Hutchings acquired the school in 1986 and operated it until 2007, when American Higher Education Development Corporation (a New York company) purchased it. The college expanded to include a Minneapolis branch campus in Edina, Minnesota in 2009, which closed in 2017. The main Madison campus closed in August 2018.
