Lovely Professional University is a private university located on G.T. Road in Phagwara, Punjab. It was established in 2005 by the Lovely Group, which started the first business and IT school in Phagwara in 2001. Dr. Ashok Kumar Mittal is the Founder Chancellor of the university.
Recognition and Accreditation
LPU is recognised by the University Grants Commission under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956, and received this recognition in 2006. It received the highest NAAC grade of A++ with a 3.Several programmes are accredited by the National Board of Accreditation, including B.Tech. in CSE, CE, ECE and ME, and MBA, valid until 30/06/2027. The School of Agriculture's B.Sc. (Hons.) and eight M.Sc. (Agri. & Hort.) programmes have ICAR accreditation through NAEAB.
